A little bit about us
Our Wild Roks story begins in 2020… the year the earth stood still.
Melbourne, Victoria … the long lockdown... you know, the one that was meant to last a few weeks and ended up lasting months… Isolated from most of our family and friends, our neighbours and community became our lifeline.
We live a stones-throw away from each other, and to escape the pressures of lockdown life, would wake up early before the chaos of home-schooling young children whilst working from home, to walk around the local parkland, and bring in the day in peace. The rug had been pulled out from our normal lives, and the freedoms and connections we never questioned, were for the moment gone. Amongst the turmoil of this, this was our sanity. It was on these walks we noticed something… as the days turned in to weeks, the air was clearer… no planes due to shut borders, hardly any cars on the road as most of the city was at home…we saw the city, the trees, the grass, the clouds with a new clarity. The world was shining. And the birds…so many more birds of all kinds were making this place their home again. We were hearing stories from around the world about nature bouncing back…wild animals enjoying the freedom of a quieter world, and we were experiencing this in our own little pocket of the world…a sort of re-wilding.
Nature was healing…and so were we. We took a forced pause from our busy lives. And this gave us a chance to connect back in with ourselves. That wild inner being that is exuberant and knows no limits, that is open to the possibilities of the world… that listens to your heart and trusts it.
So where do the crystals come in?
Well as long as I’ve known Suey, she’s had a kick-ass crystal collection. And as someone who as only dabbled with a little rock here or there prior to meeting her, it’s enviable. A gorgeous Ocean Jasper sphere here, a huge, amazing deep purple Amethyst cluster there…a Carnelian tower with swirls of deep reds and orange and yellow you can get lost in…the energy you feel from these charged rocks is something I felt upon entering her home. I remember going through a rough time and telling her about it, and she gave me a small tumble of Black Tourmaline as I left… “You need this”, she said, “this will ground you and keep you strong…don’t take that shit from anyone Ange”. Well I left feeling energized. I kept the little rock with me. Call it the energy from the crystal, or the energy and intention she gave it to me with, or both whatever it was, it worked.
That’s the power behind this. Whether you believe in the ancient healing powers of crystals or not, when you give someone this thing, with the meaning and intention behind it….well, that’s what we are all about. Giving a bit of joy… giving support…giving confidence…a gift for yourself or somebody else. It can be powerful. Not to mention, beautiful…an incredible expression from the earth.
Since returning to what’s on the surface a bit more normality since 2020, I don’t think we’ll ever get back to life exactly the way it was before. And nor would we want to. The clarity and re wilding of ourselves that these circumstances have brought have made us go… F*** it, let’s do it… let’s share our passion of these Wild Roks with others. We encourage you to take a moment out of the busyness of what we call normal life, and give yourself some space to believe in a bit of magic.
Call it a little bit of the wild earth, to remind you of the wild within you.

Suey
Suey... without whose passion for crystals and desire to nurture those around her, Wild Roks wouldn't exist.
Pictured here in her element, with her other type of "Crystal" at the park. Yes that's our Sue. Won't drink out of plastic, even at the park, no way, not for her.
As we said, Wild Roks was born over walks and wine.
And given the last two years we've all had, there's been a lot of wine.
Suey has the knack for knowing what energy you might need in your life. She's intuitive and is so well attuned to the emotions of those around her. It's another skill of hers we'll be utilizing, for our tailored packs, so we can bring the best energy into your life depending on where you are at.
Most of Suey's friends have known she's been passionate about crystals for a long time, and is a wealth of knowledge on the matter. Some would say its about time she let this passion out in to the world.

Angelina
The other half of Wild Roks, who goes by many names... Angelina, Ange, Angie baby...
And near impossible to find a picture of her without her kids!
Ange is the newcomer to Crystals, but certainly not any less passionate.
Wild Roks gives her the creative outlet she needs. Being a Cancerian, there's a natural sensitivity to energy and the needs of others that brings the passion for empowering people to make them feel good.
Ange has a personal connection to how powerful crystals can be in supporting through difficult times, from many years ago. A small tumble clutched in a hospital bed was the perfect crystal companion, when she was scared and needed to find courage.
She's always believed in something outside herself, a greater energy that touches the soul, that connects us to something bigger. And if one little gift from the earth can achieve this connection then she wants to share the magic.
